How the Magic Began
What happens when a homemaker, a software engineer, and an architect walk into a kitchen with clay and stories wearing pyjamas…? They get covered in clay and start a magical little business! That’s how The Witches Lab began—just three women laughing, bonding, and discovering that playing with clay could be way more fun than spreadsheets or blueprints. We all have different lives, but our shared love for travel, colors, and patterns keeps us connected—and inspires every whimsical piece we create.

From quirky mugs to playful platters, every piece carries a story, a splash of color, and maybe a little mischief. Our creations are fun, magical, and perfect for anyone who likes a side of laughter with their latte.
From Hobby to Heart
We started slow, selling pieces to friends and family (who, let’s be honest, were our first test subjects). But this year, The Witches Lab is growing up! We’ve been spreading our wings beyond the kitchen table—partnering with wonderful physical stores and joining magical pop-up markets across Australia. Each new space helps us connect with more kindred spirits who love a good story (and a good mug). It’s been a journey of showing up, setting up, and growing up—one market stall at a time.
Meet The Witches Behind The Cauldron
Founder and Creative Director
Sneha Debsikdar
The tech-savvy wizard behind our magic, she codes by day and dreams in colors, patterns, and quirky ceramics by night. As Creative Director, she brings the ideas to life—sometimes literally throwing herself into the clay (and sometimes throwing clay at us!). Her mission: make sure every piece is as playful, functional, and magical as our imaginations allow.
Founder and Manager
Saji Debsikdar
The heart (and sometimes the spell-caster) of The Witches Lab, Saji keeps everything running smoothly—from clay chaos to chai breaks. Homemaker by profession, magician by practice, she ensures every creation carries love, laughter, and a pinch of mischief. She manages the team, inspires ideas, and occasionally reminds us to stop playing with clay and eat lunch.
Founder and Lead Designer
Nishita Debsikdar
With a love for vibrant colors, bold patterns, and a dash of whimsy, she turns clay into tiny stories you can hold. As Lead Designer, she makes sure every curve, line, and splash of color reflects both heritage and playful mischief. She’s the one who’ll argue that a mug should be structurally sound… but also rainbow-tastic, and she’s never shy about adding an extra swirl, dot, or glittery surprise just because it feels right.
